Online FSP study plan

How to Prepare for Fachsprachprüfung Online

Online FSP preparation works best when it follows the exam workflow: patient interview, doctor-doctor handover, medical vocabulary, Arztbrief writing, and repeated feedback.

A practical online preparation structure

Many candidates study vocabulary, watch videos, and read sample cases, but still feel insecure because the exam is active. You must speak, react, summarize, write, and explain. A good online preparation plan should therefore create repetition around the same clinical workflow.

The aim is not to memorize every possible case. The aim is to build a repeatable method for understanding a patient, presenting the case, documenting it, and using correct medical German.

  1. Build symptom vocabulary by clinical area.
  2. Practice patient interviews with full anamnesis structure.
  3. Present each case as a doctor-doctor handover.
  4. Write or review the Arztbrief after the case.
  5. Repeat weak areas until the wording becomes automatic.

What to avoid

Avoid passive-only preparation. Reading lists and watching explanations can help, but they do not replace speaking, writing, and structured case work.

What to measure

Track whether you can ask questions without long pauses, summarize clearly, use correct terminology, and write a structured letter within a realistic time limit.
